carolyn aitchinson, Chair
Carolyn was most recently a Managing Director at The Blackstone Group, and previously a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and DLJ. Her experience in finance includes sitting on Investment and on Risk Committees for these organisations. Carolyn helped The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation establish financial and legal structures including offices in India, Kenya and Uganda, and she is a Trustee of the Big Issue Foundation and of the Social Investment Business Foundation.
John kelting, independent
John works in International Development, with two NGOs focused on education in Africa and as a Consultant to CDC, the UK Government’s International Development business. He completed a Masters degree in International Development at LSE in 2015. Prior to this he was a Managing Director at Barclays, with responsibility for Global Corporate Product, including the Bank’s lending, deposits, trade finance and foreign exchange. He formerly co-headed Global Finance in the Investment Bank, with responsibility for Barclays’ Bond, Debt and Equity Origination businesses.

Nat is a successful entrepreneur, venture capitalist, management consultant and social investor. Nat is the England Chair of the Big Lottery Fund. He was also the co-founder and is now Vice Chair of Impetus Trust, the first venture philanthropy trust fund in the UK. Nat also has advisory board membership for Social Finance Impact Bond, European Venture Philanthropy Association Knowledge Centre and Liveryman for the Worshipful Company of Management Consultants. He has also been vice chair of Crime Concern.
Paul Cannings, independent
Paul is a Director at YFM Equity Parters limited. His private equity experience also includes 14 years with 3i Group in based in Cambridge and London and leading the smaller buyout and growth capital team. Paul was also Director at Angel Springs Ltd. He recently stepped down from CAF Venturesome’s Investment Committee after 7 years, 5 of those as Chair. CAF Venturesome is a leading social investment fund in the UK, providing affordable finance to charities and social enterprises.
