Roundtable Event: The Future of Transitional Supported Housing

To mark the launch of ‘At a Crossroads: The Future of Transitional Supported Housing’, IPPR North and SASC held an online roundtable event. Invited speakers included Josh Goodman, Director of Social Housing, MHCLG; Imogen Blood, Housing Consult and Researcher; and Lisa Hilder, Treasurer, Hull Women’s Network. The event was chaired by Sarah Longlands, Director of IPPR North.

The session started with a summary of the report findings by author, Marcus Johns, from the IPPR research team. Responses were then given by the invited speakers before it was opened up to a wider discussion.

It was an interesting and valuable discussion that focussed not just on the problems the sector faces but also, more hopefully, looked at what steps government is taking and how we can be part of the solutions.
