We are delighted to announce the appointment of Amelia Sussman in the new role of Head of Operations. She is one of four new recruits to SASC this year, which has seen the team grow to 10 people.

Amelia previously worked at Impetus – The Private Equity Foundation, where she was an Investment Director for 11 years, working closely with a portfolio of charities and the private equity community. Before joining Impetus PEF, she was COO at Common Purpose.

Commenting on her new role, Amelia said,

“I’m excited to join SASC at this key stage in the organisation’s growth.

“As SASC has grown so has the need for experienced sector professionals. I’m looking forward to working with the team and developing the role to enable more organisations to benefit from social investment.”

“I’m delighted to welcome Amelia to the team. She brings great operational expertise, as well as Board level experience in the public and not-for-profit sectors.

“Her track record of driving growth and coaching teams to improve performance will be a real asset to SASC at a time when we are expanding rapidly. We will have provided flexible capital to more than 20 social sector organisations by the end of 2018 and hope to help many more organisations in the years ahead.”

Amelia is currently on the Board of the Capital City College Group and Chairs the City and Islington College Board. She is a graduate of the University of Oxford.
