Juno Women’s Aid is the key domestic abuse organisation in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Its activities in the DV space are wide-ranging: 24-hour freephone helpline, drop-in service, outreach support for women and children, independent domestic violence advocate service, RISE support schemes, refuge provision, pets fostering scheme and domestic violence training for individuals and agencies.
The organisation was incorporated in 2001 as a charity and CLG. It was formerly known as Women’s Aid Advice Centre Nottingham and then as Women’s Aid Integrated Services (WAIS), before changing to Juno Women’s Aid in FY19. Juno is the largest domestic abuse organisation in Nottingham and one of the largest in the UK. They work with women, children, and teens who have been affected by domestic abuse in Ashfield, Broxtowe, Gedling, Nottingham City, and Rushcliffe.
