It’s an understatement to say this year has been challenging for everyone, but for charities and social enterprises the impact of the Covid-19 has been felt even more.

Not only have they had to deal with operating their services in very difficult circumstances but also with a downturn in funding as many of their usual fundraising activities simply weren’t possible.

That said, we have been immensely proud to support our borrowers, old and new, throughout 2020 and, despite the circumstances, t all these organisations  have stepped up to the challenge.

Some of you may have been following us on Twitter this December as we celebrated what our borrowers have achieved this year. Our #SASCHeroes advent calendar has focused on one charity every day and highlighted what we believe makes them our heroes this year.
